Hersteller vermutlich Xavier Tharin, Paris. Emaillier- tes Zifferblatt mit römischen Zahlen, Ø 9,5 cm, 2- zügiges Uhrwerk, Viertelstundenschlag auf Glocke, separates Federwerk für das mechanische Bild, hand- gemalte Landschaft, mit einem über die Brücke fahren- den Zug, einem Wasserfall (simuliert durch drehenden Glasstab), Wäscherin und Fischer in schaukelnden Boo- ten, einer Windmühle und einem Zeigertelegraphen im Hintergrund, Bewegungsabläufe sollten reguliert wer- den. Maße des Bildes 16,5 x 21 cm, ebonisiertes Gehäu- se, Höhe 51 cm, mit passender Konsole, Schlüssel und Pendel. Zifferblatt mit kleiner Abplatzung, leichte Risse im Gehäuse. – Guter Originalzustand des Bildes, mit hellen, leuchtenden Farben.

Probably Xavier Tharin, Paris, with 3 3⁄4 in. (9,5 cm) enameled Roman dial, two-train movement striking hours and quarters on bell, going-barrel automaton movement and hand-colored picture of a landscape with train moving across viaduct, glass-twist cascade, wash- erwoman, fisherman in rocking boat, windmill and semaphore on the horizon, in ebonized case, needs some adjustment. Height 20 in. (51 cm), automaton 6 1⁄2 x 8 1⁄4 in. (16,5 x 21 cm), with matching bracket, key and pen- dulum. Small chips on dial, splits in case, automaton picture in bright original condition.
