Messingschienen auf klappbarem Mahagonibrett, fein gearbeitete Loko- motive, Messing, 12-V-Wechselstrommotor, Mahago- nikoffer, separates Kästchen für die Lokomotive. – Literatur: Katalog Max Kohl, Ausgabe von 1900, S. 733, für ein ähnliches (jedoch späteres) Modell. – Exzellent funktionierender Originalzustand!
Rare and Early Electric Locomotive Display Model, c. 1880
Precision-built brass locomotive with 12-volt alternat- ing current motor, canopy and turned brass railing, for 2-inch (5,5 cm) gauge rails, in original mahogany case. The locomotive is accompanied by original oval circuit on folding mahogany board, in matching storage case, circuit 42 1⁄2 x 20 1⁄2 in. (108 x 52,5 cm). – Literature: See 1900 catalog of physical demonstration apparatus, Max Kohl, Chemnitz, p. 733, for a similar (but later) demonstration model. – An early scientific toy, the only example of its kind we have seen to date.
