1) Wax-over-papier-mâché shoulder head doll with fixed threaded blue glass eyes, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, cloth body with composition lower arms and molded boots, in original cream wool satin coat- dress with ice-blue pleated satin ruffle and ribbons, height 16 in. (40 cm). – 2) Bisque boy with molded blonde curls, blue eyes, closed mouth, cloth body and bisque lower limbs, in original Scottish dress, height 9 1⁄2 in. (24 cm). – And: 3) Wax doll in traditional Welsh dress, height 9 1⁄2 in. (24 cm). – An interesting group for the collector or costumer.

Schulterblattkopf, Unterarme und Unterschenkel aus rosa getöntem Wachs über Papiermaché, feststehende blaue Augen, eingesetzte wellige blonde Mohair- Perücke, Stoffkörper, in Original-Kleidung mit Spitzen- besatz, gehäkelten Socken und rosafarbenen Stiefeln, Höhe 61 cm, Kleidung alterungsbedingt beschädigt, Riß im Korpus, einige unauffällige Risse im Schulterblatt, minimale Schäden am linken kleinen Finger und rechten Schuh.
England, of pink-tinted wax, with fixed blue eyes, in- serted wavy blonde mohair wig, cloth body and dimpled wax-over-composition lower limbs, dressed in original (very fragile) lace-edged blue dress, undergarments, crochet socks and pink leather boots, height 24 in. (61 cm), tear in torso, a few unobtrusive cracks on shoulder plate, slight damage to left little finger and right heel.

1) England, um 1840, Schulterkopf, Glasaugen ohne Pupillen, braune Echthaarperücke, Stoffkörper, Unter- arme aus Ziegenleder mit ausgeformten Fingern, in Musselin-Kleidung mit Blumenmuster und Spitzen- häubchen, Höhe 48 cm. – Und: 2) Um 1870, modellier- tes blondes Haar, Augen ohne Pupillen, Stoffkörper mit Stimme (stumm), Unterarme und Unterschenkel aus geschnitztem Holz, in Baumwollkleidchen und Satin- Umhang, Höhe 54 cm. – Beide Köpfe mit üblicher Kra- kelierung.

1) English wax-over-papier-mâché shoulder head doll, c. 1840, with pupiless glass eyes, brown hair wig, cloth body and kid-leather arms with individual fingers, in flower-print muslin dress and lace bonnet, height 19 in. (48 cm). – And: 2) Wax-over-papier-mâché doll, c. 1870, with molded blonde hair, pupiless eyes, cloth body with voice-box (silent) and carved wood lower limbs, in cotton-print dress and satin cape, height 21 1⁄2 in. (54 cm). – Both with customary craquelure.
