German Automaton Cyclist, c. 1900
With bisque head impressed "4600 6, SPBH" for Schoe- nau und Hoffmeister, open mouth, fixed blue glass eyes, curly blonde mohair wig, articulated legs, carved wood hands and feet, seated on polychrome-painted high- wheel wood tricycle, on box base containing bench-built going-barrel motor causing the front wheel to roll as cyclist pedals, dressed in original satin costume, lace jabot and felt hat, height 21 in. (53 cm). An early cy- cling toy in good working order.

Biskuit-Kurbelkopf, geprägt mit "2", offener Mund mit einer Reihe Zähne, feststehende blaue Glasaugen, ge- tönte Lider, hellgraue Wimpern, Ohren ohne Löcher für Ringe, gefiederte Brauen, handgebundene blonde Mo- hair-Perücke, 5-teiliger Papiermaché-Korpus mit Federwerk, Mechanik und Walzenspielwerk (später ergänzt), in blauem Woll-Kostüm. – Die Puppe hebt ihren Kopf und öffnet den Deckel eines Korbes, in dem 2 Babypuppen auf einem Kissen sitzen. – Gesamthöhe 38 cm, Schlüssel mit "RD"-Monogramm, etwas schwa- che Kopfbewegung, Perücke nicht entfernt.
With pressed bisque socket head impressed "2", open mouth with upper teeth, fixed threaded blue glass eyes, shaded lids, light grey lashes, feathered brows, un- pierced ears, hand-tied blonde mohair wig and later five-piece papier-mâché body with musical open-spring mechanism in torso that causes the figure to raise her head and lift a basket lid to reveal a pair of all-bisque babies, dressed in blue wool costume, ht. seated 15 in. (38 cm), with monogrammed "RD" (Roullet et De- camps) key, head movement slight, wig not removed.

Lithographiertes Blech, Spiralfederantrieb, funktio- niert, mit Laterne und Hupe, Länge 11,5 cm. Dieses Spielzeug ist nahezu baugleich mit Lehmanns Mixtum Wackelpeter EPL 775, der Unterschied besteht in der Farbgebung, der Nummer und in dem Firmenlogo. "Peter" Clown Cart No. 503, c. 1935
Lithographed tin, spiral spring drive, working, com- plete with lantern and horn, length 4 1⁄2 in. This cart bears a close resemblance to the "Mixtum" toy EPL 775 made by Lehmann. The differences lie in the coloring, the number and the slightly different logo.
