L'Auberson, Schweiz, Nr. 0001, sitzendes Mädchen mit Kopf und Händen aus Biskuitporzellan, Mohairperücke und traditionellem Kostüm, in den Händen ein Stroh- halm und eine kleine Metallschale für das Seifenwasser. Sockel mit Federwerkmotor, Mechanik, Blasebalg und Walzenspielwerk mit 2 Melodien, Gesamthöhe 46 cm. Das Mädchen dreht und neigt den Kopf, bewegt die Schale vor und zurück, tippt den Strohhalm ins Wasser und bläst, ausgelöst durch den Blasebalg, eine Seifen- blase in die Luft. – Ein amüsanter, zeitgenössischer Automat im Stil des Pariser Puppenmachers Leopold Lambert, Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts. Gut funktionie- render Zustand, ein exzellentes Demonstrationsmo- dell für Automaten-Museen.

L'Auberson, Switzerland, no. 0001, depicting a seated girl with bisque head and hands, mohair wig and tradi- tional costume, holding a straw and a metal dish for soapy water, the two-air clockwork movement causing the figure to turn and incline her head, move the dish back and forth, dip the straw into the water and then (through bellows concealed in the base) blow a bubble. Height 18 in. (46 cm). – An amusing contemporary automaton similar in style to an early 20th century design by the Parisian maker Leopold Lambert. Good working order, an excellent demonstration piece for a museum or interactive collection.
