Quadruple-Singing Bird Cage Automaton by Blaise Bontems, c. 1910
Papier-mâché landscape with swan on mirror-pond, foliage and four articulated birds with original plum- age, moving heads, beaks and tails, on giltwood base with floral relief, going-barrel movement with whistle and bellows for birdsong, ht. 22 1⁄2 in. (57 cm). Un- restored original working condition, mechanism would benefit from cleaning, front bird missing wing and foot, one standing bird missing a foot.

Federwerkmo- tor mit Mechanik, Blasebälge und Pfeife im Sockel, Gesamthöhe 57 cm. Unrestaurierter Originalzustand, funktioniert, dennoch benötigt die Mechanik eine Rei- nigung. 2 Vögel mit nur einem Bein, 1 Vogel mit nur einem Flügel.
