Exzellenter restaurierter und funktionierender Zustand! German Singing Bird Cage Automaton, c. 1970s Probably by Donau-Metall, bird with yellow plumage, articulated perch, beak and tail, going-barrel motor, whistle and bellows, under domed cage with lacquered- brass suspension loop and base, height 12 1⁄2 in. (32 cm). Bird turns from side to side, moves its beak and flutters its tail while singing realistically. Excellent restored working and singing condition!

Bird with yellow plumage, articulated beak, wings and tail with spotted black feathers, in stylized brass and green-lacquered metal case with dial on the left, cage on the right, going-barrel automaton movement with whistle and bellows, time movement and adjustment controls on reverse, 4 1⁄4 in. (10,5 cm) high x 7 1⁄2 in. (19 cm) wide. Bird sings, moves its beak, wings and tail when alarm-setting is activated. Good working condi- tion! A stylish and unusual piece whose form is remi- niscent of the television/radio cabinets of the period.
