633: Seltenes versilbertes Teleskop von Lerebours aus Paris, um 1795 € 550,-
5 Auszüge, Korpus handbemalt in Weiß über Orange, mit Lack überzogen, zugeschrieben der Art von Piat Sauvage, darstellend eine antikisierende Szenerie mit Putten. Handgravierte Augenmuschel: "Lerebours Opt, en del'obs, ire et du B.au des Longitudes – Place du Pont Neuf à Paris". Ø 4 cm, Länge ausgezogen 9 cm. – Hersteller: Noel Jean Lerebours (1761–1840). – Im Jahr 1804 begann Napoleon Bonaparte seinen Feld- zug von Boulogne und wählte dazu ein Fernrohr von Lerebours aus, was diesen zum "Kaiserlichen Hofliefe- ranten" machte. Er galt als einer der prominentesten Optiker seiner Zeit in Frankreich und sogar in Europa, außerdem fungierte er als einer der Experten im Be- trugsfall von Lemière gegen Derepas im Jahr 1825. – Literatur: Guignardiere Katalog 3 & 6; Carcassonne Katalog 6.
Rare Silver-Plated 5-Draw Spy Glass by Lerebours from Paris, c. 1795
The body hand-painted in white over orange in the manner of Piat Sauvage. Hand-engraved eyecup: "Lerebours Opt, en del'obs, ire et du B.au des Longi- tudes – Place du Pont Neuf à Paris". Ø 1 1⁄2 in., length extended 3 1⁄2 in. – Manufacturer: Noel Jean Lerebours, 1761–1840. – In 1804, Napoleon Bonaparte starting his campaign of Boulogne, selected a telescope by Lere- bours, making him "Supplier of the Emperor". He was considered one of the most prominent opticians of his time in France (and in Europe) and acted as one of the experts in the fraud case of Lemière against Derepas in 1825. – Literature: Guignardiere Cat. 3 & 6; Carcas- sonne Cat. 6.
Single-Draw Telescope with Ribbed 18 k Gold Mounts, c. 1775
The body inset with three oval slightly convex enamel plaques painted "en grisaille" with three Greek heads, perhaps Aphrodite, Apollo and a further goddess, on brown grounds surrounded by concentric wavy translu- cent blue and opaque white enamel stripes, the upper and lower borders engraved with reeding and enameled in translucent green with a ribbon-twist band enclosing white enameled shuttles, the upper part concave and tapering, the outer border enameled in translucent blue with a ribbon-twist band enclosing white enameled shuttles. Ø 1 1/3 in., extended length 3 1⁄2 in. – The three enameled plaques are reminiscent of the work of James Morisset, Willam Charron, the Toussaints, Gabriel Wirgman and Moser. – Literature: C. Der Korpus mit drei ovalen, leicht konvex emaillierten Tafeln, in Grisaille-Technik bemalt mit drei griechi- schen Portraits, vermutlich Aphrodite, Apollo und eine weitere Göttin, auf braunem Grund, umgeben von kon- zentrischen und wellenförmigen transluzenten blauen und opak weißen Emaillestreifen, die oberen und unte- ren Ränder graviert und emailliert, der obere Teil kon- kav und verjüngt.
